Some feedback of
our guests:

September 2008
We arrived late in
the evening (thank god we’ve rented a 4-wheel drive jeep by Avis for the
last 100 metres). First of all we checked the selection of CDs and we
found Pink Floyd’s ‘Echoes’. Then we are sure this will be a good place
for us.
We read all the
information and brochures and we feel a very warm welcome.
While we enjoyed
the wine, the spectacular view and the full shining moon the weather
changed; heavy storm and blizzards and a magic moment with the dark side
of the moon (Richard Wrick dies this week) unfortunately the next days
there has been a lot of rain. But the house is big enough to have good
places to sit, so read, to listen to music, to cook and eat, etc.
The last two sunny
days we discovered the island and the beaches. Really great places as
Egremini and Porto Katsiki.
At the end of the
day it was a pleasure and a good feeling to ‘come home’; to enjoy this
wonderful, quiet and peaceful site.
Thank you very
much to share this place with us!

Superb view and
totally peaceful surrounding exactly as promised. Fantastic pool both
for swimmers and non-swimmers.
Excellent, well
equipped villa – brilliant shutter/blind/window system.
Early September
has delivered absolutely perfect weather for gazing by pool –
sufficiently hot to discourage too much touring around.
We visited here as
taxi driver, delivering our daughter to Ionian Dolphin project on
Kalamos Island – so most of our time away from the villa was over the
water where we visited Paleros and Mystikos – both attractive little
places.
Nicole has
supplied an encyclopaedic guide to eating on the island – everyone will
have their favourite “of the moment”. Can we suggest “Breath of Zorba”
(just round the corner from Hotel Alexandros in the Nikiana area).
Little blue and white wooden tables and chairs set straight at the
waters edge under white painted trees – as traditional as we’ve seen in
years. And like this villa a million miles away from the noise of the
busy main road. Good fresh food – the leaves for my wife’s green salad
were picked straight from the garden (and we didn’t have Rick Steins’ TV
Guide). Their octopus was by far the freshest we tried.
My daughter had a
wonderful week on Kalamos out in a rib scooting around the island for 4
or 5 hours a day, recording dolphins, sea turtles, swordfish, tuna…. If
you know if any university age “children” who might be interested you
can look it up at tethys.org.
Advice to hot,
tired new arrivals? Don’t shop at Lidl tonight (or al all) – eat out,
then zoom off to Nidri or (even better) Lefkas tomorrow early (when
parking’s easy) and shop in the small shops and markets.
Oh, and get up 15
minutes before sunrise to watch the sea and light turn from pewter to
amethyst, to apricot, to gold and then Ionian blue – the villa is well
named!!

Merci Beaucoup!
Your house is
wonderful, it’s a pleasure to visit Greece from this house…
A little note for
the next visitors:
- Nidri ships are
great (especially Kosmos and its nice sailor
J)
- all the little
cakes are delicious, you must taste them!!
- don’t forget a
little bottle of ‘Ouzo’.

We spent very good
holidays in Lefkada. We enjoyed the home with the fantastic view and the
swimming pool. The beaches on the West coast are really beautiful, the
colours of the sea are incredible, especially Kathisma beach and Milos
beach.
We rent also a
little boat in Nidri and went around Scorpios Island and Negoris – it
was really nice.
Thank you also to
the bottle of wine – it was very good!

We have had a
fabulous week here in Villa Anatoli on our honeymoon. The villa is
superb – kitted with everything you might need which gives it a
wonderful, relaxing and homely feel. This, with the pool, the view and
the peace have made for a great holiday.
We have spent many
days relaxing or the villa but have also enjoyed interesting trips to
Karia, Poros and Sivota.
Restaurant
highlight for us was definitely Kolonels House (next to Keramidaki, down
steps near the sea) – fantastic food, service and code rails. On the
pricey side but worth it and ok to walk if you have a torch.
We hope to come
back next year with friends and family!
Thank you

Arrived tired but
were immediately uplifted by the villa and what must surely be the most
beautiful views of the whole Ionian.
We have
had the most fantastic time. The weather has been in the high 30’s,
hitting 42 degrees on some days.
Karia
was worth a visit the food was very good in the main square. Lefkas town
was also good, full of nice boutiques, make sure you find the main
square to watch the world go by.
The
sunrise is definitely worth getting up for, it was spectacular!
Finally a big
thank you to Voula – a great help!

We’ve had a
fantastic time in Lefkada thanks to our stay at Villa Anatoli. This was
our first time in Greece and having such a lovely home to return to each
day was a magnificent gift. Her are some highlights from our stay:
Beaches:
-
take
the Nidri Star’s full day cruise around the island to get a sense of the
different beaches and ports. Our favourite spot was Porto Katsiki – it
cannot be missed.
-
Also
on the west coast, Kathisma beach. The drive is 45-1hr long and there
are amazing views from the winding roads high up in the mountains. You
an rent chairs. There’s a good quick taverna/grill (on the beach) but
many more dining options are in Agios Nikitas next door.
-
Rachi Waterfalls-Drive to the centre of Nidri, turn right and drive 15
min to a brief walk/hike and be delighted by the waterfalls.
Restaurants: (we
cooked here mainly)
-
Our
favourite was the Chicken Bar in Lefkas Town It’s amazing and cheap.
-
Keramidaki – so nearby and great views. Good menu.
-
Panaroma – Italian and Greek in the centre of Nidri.
Shopping:
-
Champion is a very over priced supermarket and you’re better off going
to the local side markets in Lefkas or Nidri. My favourite place is next
to the Chicken Bar in Lefkas Town. Better than standard quality –
variety. Get meat from George’s right nearby.

This is our last
day at Villa Anatoli. We had the most exciting day on ‘Misty Too’. Eddy
and Anneke were very helpful and great hostesses. They even let me and
my brother drive. Nidri was wonderful. The shops there are wonderful for
bread – the bakery, meat – the butcher, prezzzies – the gift shops,
souvenir. If you want to eat and swim somewhere, the Ionian Blue is
perfect for the family! Thanks to the team that looks after this house.

This is our final
day in this fantastic villa. We have been very impressed by all of it.
It has everything we needed and more for a relaxing week after our week
sailing.
We celebrated our
sons 10th birthday here – something he won’t forget.
The views were to
die for and we never got tired of them. The kids made the most of the
pool and we loved our BBQ’s in the evening.
Thanks to all at
Anastasia for their help and thank you for the bottle of wine.
Best wishes

and Bronagh.

A fortnight spent
on Lefkas has thrown up some challenges and some memories. The drive is
a challenge and in the end we decided to park on the corner at the
bottom – much safer. The 8 hr water cuts and ‘other’ drivers are
certainly Greece. However the views and scenery of the island are
excellent and a trip around the west cost worth while. Sivota bay for
dinner is also very good with a cosmopolitan atmosphere and good
tavernas. The best beach is Dessimi bay, Arrive early as there aren’t
that many sun beds and you can hire some motorboats or pedalo’s etc. The
square in Karya is excellent to wine away a couple of hours. Geni is
also good for dinner and taverna Eleni is very welcoming. The villa is
good and provides everything you need for a self catering holiday.

We had a
fantastic, hot and sunny week. We have holiday’d in many villas – this
is the best we have ever stayed in. We have enjoyed the amazing views.
Temperatures have been very high this week – 42 °C in the shade.
Well worth a
lunchtime visit is the squire in Karia. The shade from the trees was
very pleasant and the food, traditional Greek, and service were good. We
also spent a great day our on ‘Misty Too’. Eddy and Anneke are very
welcoming and give you a tour around the islands and, if you want it, an
introduction to sailing. Even our 2 teenage girls enjoyed the trip.

This is our second
visit to Perigiali but our first stay in this house. We have spent a
wonderfully relaxing ten days in this lovely house and often found it
difficult to tear ourselves away!
Both places that
we have stayed in Lefkas have had load of information supplied but
places to eat have not been recommended. We have found a few places
nearby that are really worth mentioning. The Scorpios hotel has an
incredible view (very different from the one from this house). The food
and the Mythos are quite tasty too!
On the road going
towards Nikiana and Lefkada at the right hand side are two restaurants
next to each other (only 5 mins drive from here). The Keramidaki has
good food and service. The Kolonels house which is next door downs lots
of steps is more expensive but has excellent food which is well worth
it! Both restaurants have parking by them and excellent vies over the
sea.
Going home is
going to be hard!

The first holiday
week went fine and we have enjoyed the stay at Villa Anatoli very much.
First half of the week it was pretty warm weather (40°C), but the second
half of the week with around 37 °C felt even more comfortable to us
Finns. The villa is perfect and the home alike interior was very
suitable to our family. We are very grateful that we could spend a week
in this lovely place.

everything your could possible want and more. The views are priceless.
You have some wonderful friends here who really care about your villa
and clients. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

Once we overcame
the daunting challenge of backing down the driveway and sleeping under a
duvet in a Greek summer, we found Villa Anatoli to be an absolutely
magical place. We have travelled all over Greece, and this qualifies as
one of the most comfortable – and certainly one of the most beautiful –
places we’ve experienced. It was a great pleasure to be able to share it
with friends.
